Future Scotland Group activity

I have been approached by some heavy weight speakers keen to address the WAA Scotland group.

One potential speaker is a Scot overseas with a major corporate, with a fascinating web analytics best practice tale to tell.

I am planning to organise an online session for him to address us, most probably in July. His presentation will last about 30 minutes and if there is interest, I will get another speaker from a similar in Scotland to present too. It looks likely, however, that to suit the overseas speaker, the time will be 11.30am UK time.

If this is really not suitable, or you have any strong feelings on the format the sessioon should take (I was thinking 1 hour maximum), please let me know.

Four Gurus Session From Emetrics

I hope that everyone that dialled into the Four Gurus Session from San Francisco found it useful - it was great to see your questions come in and I'm glad Jim Sterne was able to get at least questions from the Scotland group under the guru's noses!

9th May WAA Scotland Session to be online link up

Details are just being confirmed now for the 9th May WAA Scotland session, which will take the form of an online link up with International WAA members worldwide.

We anticipate a really impressive collection of speakers - I will update you when the programme is confirmed.

Due to timing requirements of speakers and worldwide participants, this session looks like it will take place at 3pm rather than the usual 6pm (hey, at least you didn't get the 7am or 11pm timeslot!).

Just to remind you, a Web Analytics Wednesday is scheduled for this week

Time: 6pm to 7.30pm followed by drink at local pub

The session will include:

• Informal question and answer session

• Web analytics podcast from leading industry practitioner

• News about an official Web Analytics Association training day

I'm increasingly aware that membership is very geographically spread, from the Highlands and Moray to the Borders, as well as Glasgow and Edinburgh and its a challenge to find a location that suits everyone. One option is to make at least some of these future events online only. If you have any thoughts on this, including whether online would work better for you (and if so whether evening or day time would be best) - do let me know.
